Q: What is the difference between factory and aftermarket parts?
A: Factory parts come directly from the manufacturer that built your vehicle. Factory parts are built specifically for a make and model which means that will fit and perform at a high level. These parts also often come with a warranty. Aftermarket parts made by a third party. Although these parts are sometimes less expensive, they are made to be generic. Generic means built for more than one make and model. The fit and performance of these parts vary, as does their warranties.
